Device Repairs & Service
“What kind of repairs do you offer?“
We are able to repair most electronic PCB level based repairs such as, device does not power on, buttons or navigation joysticks not functioning etc. Examples of repairs we offer include replacement HDMI ports, SDI port no longer recieves/transmits signal, damaged transmitter OLED display. We have previously repaired devices manufactured by AJA, Apple, ARRI, Atomos, Blackmagic Design, Decimator, Flanders Scientific, Portkeys, smallHD, Sony, & Teradek.
“Can I send you my device for a general clean and service?“
Yes! Absolutely, we offer full general cleaning and servicing for almost all devices.
“I have damaged a connector can you supply the part to me?“
If the part doesn't require any special tooling (or if you already have the tooling) we can supply parts directly to you.
Remote Support
“Do you offer any kind of remote technical support?“
When you purchase with studio3cine you get much more than the product or system. We will be there to support you while you are out in the field. If you have a studio3cine product or custom build system that is able to talk to the internet then we are able to offer remote support solutions to you to resolve any questions or workflow issues from anywhere in the world. Get in touch to learn more about how we can support you. In addition, we are likely able to help with other technical issues or diagnosing a fault remotely to. If a device requires further diagnostics we can arrange to get that in to us for further service.
Custom Manufacture
“Can you make custom cables?“
Certainly, we have all the professional tooling to make custom power, video, audio, RF and data cables to order.
“Do you make braided cable looms?“
Yes! We frequently manufacture custom braided cable looms. Everything from short power and video looms for on camera right through to very long multicore cables for video and DIT operators. We also service Stage, Lighting and Events.
“Do you have the ability to do CAD designs for 3D print and CNC machining?“
Yes! We do all of our own CAD design in house for 3D print and CNC machined parts.
“I require a custom rack build, can you help?“
Custom rack builds or rebuilds are a core part of our work here at studio3cine. We build and maintain a significant number of custom builds for several industry professionals. We can upgrade what you already have, build from scratch or even rebuild your custom systems. For more in-depth information visit our Custom Services page.
“Can you design a rack mount I/O panel or blank plate to my own specificaion?“
Absolutely! If you have a rack that requires a custom I/O patch panel or even a blank plate with your logo on we can CAD design a panel to your exact requirements with any holes, cutouts, vents etc to fit your exact needs. We also have laser etching machines in house for applying port markings and branding to your I/O panel, we can even use your own font.
Shipping
“I need to ship a device to you for service but I'm worried about shipping“
These worries are absolutely understandable given the value of most devices that get shipped to us for service. This is why we only ship with DHL Express globally and domestically in the UK. We can arrange a collection from your home or business address, all you need to do is package up the device securely and apply the shipping label we provide to you. No printer? No worries! DHL can even print the label for you on collection. We can even take the extra step and insure the shipment for the value of the goods with DHL Express directly if you so choose.
